What is possible with i-JADE Basic?
1. Handset specific Class libraries can be used to compile source code.
2. It is possible to preverify applications under development.
3. Debugging your programs is made easy by integrating with your IDE .

What else is required for operation of i-JADE Basic?
Java 2 SDK 1.3 or higher is necessary.

Besides i-JADE Basic, what else is required to develop i-mode i-appli?
With i-JADE Basic, the J2ME CLDC, Java 2 SDK 1.3 or higher is required.

Is i-JADE Basic an IDE?
i-JADE Basic has been designed to be used in conjunction with an IDE, so it is not one and the same GUI development environment. There is a control panel UI but it is not an IDE in itself.

Is the CPU of the target device (DoCoMo handset) emulated?
Presently, the CPU of the target device is not emulated. Speed of the application running on i-JADE Basic depends on the CPU of the PC used for emulation.

Is memory capacity of the target device (DoCoMo handset) emulated?
Presently, the memory of the target device is not emulated. Memory handing of the application running on i-JADE Basic depends on the memory of the PC used for emulation.
